A sharp lawn.
A fresh start.
We hire and train men in recovery to run real lawn-care crews across Nashville. You book the cut - we build the comeback, from the ground up.
Where service is always in season.
Many programs offer housing, counseling, and treatment - far fewer offer a real path to stable work. Second Chance Cuts exists to close that gap. We turn paid lawn-care work into transferable skills, confidence, and lasting independence for men in recovery and reentry, and we keep showing up for our neighbors in every season along the way.
Second Chance Cuts empowers men in recovery and reentry by providing hands-on vocational training in lawn care and landscaping - equipping them with the skills, confidence, and employment pathways needed to rebuild their lives and strengthen their communities.
Paid work, day one
Real hourly pay on active crews - recovery is steadier with a paycheck and a purpose.
Skills that transfer
Equipment, safety, leadership, customer service, and the business behind a lawn-care company.
Service to the city
Free cuts for elderly & disabled neighbors and cleanup of code-violation lots - pride, earned.
Keeping it simple
Two things, done right: sharp lawn care that pays our crews, and beautification work that gives back. Every Friday, we're out in the neighborhood looking for ways to serve.
Our crews, on the job
Recurring lawn care
Mow, edge, and blow on a weekly or bi-weekly schedule. A reliable crew, a sharp yard.
Community service project
Beautification projects
Every Friday our crews head into the community looking for ways to serve - free cuts for elderly & disabled neighbors and cleanup of overgrown lots.
We go looking for ways to serve.
Every Friday the whole crew heads into the community - knocking on doors, clearing a neighbor's yard, cleaning up a block. Service isn't a side project. It's the point.
From the ground up
A progressive path designed to end in independence, not dependency. Participants move from their first paid shift to running operations of their own.
